The Client
DIY(“Do-It-Yourself”)Girls is a non-profit organization with a mission to increase girls’ interest and success in technology, engineering, making, and design through innovative educational experiences and mentor relationships. It’s all about creating a supportive community for girls driven by an interest in creating and building with technology.
The Challenge
Designed fun and interactive STEAM educational content for after school programs.
The Outcome
Created an on brand product that will be sent out to after school programs.
Inside the kit
DIY Girls begins every program with the Power Up paper circuit. With this kit, girls will build their every first circuit that lights up!
The Art Bot is a fun introduction to motors and automatic machines. Girls will create their personalized art-creating creatures by assembling a motor circuit
This project introduces fashion technology and e-textiles using simple components and conductive thread. Using a magnetic switch, girls will sew a bracelet that lights up when her best friend is near.
